Adactus Housing Association has donated £1,780 to the Children’s Safety Education Foundation (CSEF), which aims to provide preventative safety education to all children across the UK.

Adactus will sponsor 250 children at the Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Leigh, all aged between 7 and 11 years old, to receive safety education on a wide range of topics including smoking, alcohol, drugs, my body, taking control and bullying.

Ruth Mycock, Neighbourhood Development Officer at Adactus Housing Association, said; “Adactus is delighted to be able to make a positive contribution to the school and its pupils. The work that the CSEF do is vital to ensure that young children are educated about the importance of safety and it is fantastic that pupils at Sacred Heart are able to benefit from it.”

Helen Ahmed, Head Teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School said: “The children and staff are excited to be sponsored by Adactus to enhance their safety education. We look forward to a long and sustained partnership for the benefit of the children & the local community.”

Both Adactus and Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School hope to build on their developing partnership for the benefit of the whole community.
