Five-year Asbo for woman who flooded neighbour's garden
A woman who subjected her neighbours to a campaign of misery following a dispute over a fence boundary has been given a five-year Asbo.
Celia Edge, 40, from Pinner, in north-west London, harassed her neighbours by throwing sanitary towels in their garden, flooding their garden, scattering rubbish across their driveway and calling
them "dirty scum".
Stephen and Angela Kent's ordeal only ended after they installed CCTV cameras and collected evidence totalling 143 DVDs.
Statements from four of Edge's former neighbours in Harrow were also included in the case.
Harrow Magistrates' Court heard the Kents felt unable to go on holiday for fear of what they would return to.
Councillor Susan Hall, head of environmental services for Harrow Council, said: "This is totally unacceptable behaviour which caused her neighbours to live in total misery for a number of
years.
"This was a very severe case of anti-social behaviour with a catalogue of evidence to support the neighbours' claims.
"Harrow Council is committed to ensuring clean and safe streets for all our residents so this Asbo is a great result."
Edge, of Lyndhurst Gardens, is now prohibited from damaging the Kents' garden, leaving rubbish outside their house or entering their property.
