The Riverside Group has awarded Remploy with a £500,000 contract to supply new windows.

The new contract will see Remploy supplying new windows to sheltered and supported properties on behalf of ECHG and general needs properties on behalf of Riverside South East with the aim of rolling it out throughout Riverside nationally over the next four years.

Martin McCormack, Investment and Procurement Manager at The Riverside Group, said: “We aim to operate in a socially responsible way in all areas of our business, including the supply chains for our repairs and housing improvement programmes. When the contract for window suppliers in Riverside South East and ECHG was due to be renewed, Riverside’s Regeneration team looked to the National Procurement Solutions Framework to find a company who would fit the bill.

“Remploy was chosen on the basis of cost, quality and added value plus it met our goals as a socially responsible landlord as it is the market leader in the provision of specialist employment services for disabled people.”

Lucy Holl, Remploy’s Building Products General Manager added: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with The Riverside Group. This contract will help us provide sustainable employment for disabled people and we look forward to delivering quality products which will significantly improve supported properties in the region.”
