Other Housing stories

Wessex Housing Partnership Ltd and its two subsidiaries, Kingfisher Housing Association, Basingstoke and HVHS Housing Group, Winchester have recently relaunched their web sites, making them even more accessible to their residents than before.

With a combined housing stock of over 7,000 homes, in eight local authority areas, communication between the landlords and the residents they serve is paramount.

The new web sites, structured by Odyssey Interactive, were officially launched at the Group’s first staff conference held at the Hampshire Rose Bowl in Southampton earlier last week.

A working group of residents, staff from Kingfisher, HVHS and Odyssey worked on production of the newly launched sites, taking into consideration comments made by residents. The web sites new image is clean, modern and vibrant and easy to navigate around.

Kingfisher and HVHS residents can now contact their landlord to report a repair or contact their housing officer from the comfort of their own home by using the online forms. You do not need to be a resident of either of the associations to make contact online and applying for a job is now easier than before with their new online application forms.

Group Chief Executive, Brian Hutchison said “The new web sites are fantastic, we have really listened to what our residents wanted and provided a much easier way for them to communicate with us. Everyone benefits and for residents who do not have internet access, they can now phone us from any landline phone on our new Freephone telephone number – 0800 988 4858.”

Each member of the Group has its own web site with a wealth of useful information and advice, and you need only type in one address as each site can be easily accessed from the ‘home page’.

When you say accessible, it is disappointing that both websites are not accessible against Disability Discrimination standards.
