Congratulations to nine employees who graduated with a Diploma in Management from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) in October, at Mere Hall in Bolton.
Senior Managers from The Regenda Group and Bolton at Home graduated after committing months to study for an academic achievement.
The Regenda Group, one of the leading Housing Associations in the North West based in Horwich, led a partnership approach with Bolton at Home to introduce a joint CMI training venture, a first of
its kind for both organisations.
Four employees from Bolton at Home joined five senior managers from the Regenda Group in completing the course which started in May 2007.
The development scheme was introduced as part of a senior management programme by Tracey Wilson, Executive Director of Corporate Services at The Regenda Group, who commented on the day: "This has
been a huge success and something on which the Group can continue to develop and take the outcomes from the rest of the organisation."
Speaking at the event, Bernard Gallagher, Chief Executive at The Regenda Group, said: "It's important to take every opportunity for personal development as there is a great need to develop talent
and nurture leaders to meet housing challenges in the future."
George Caswell, Chief Executive at Bolton at Home, said: "As an organisation, Bolton at Home prides itself on investing in training and development opportunities."
Andrei Szatkowski, Director of Neighbourhoods at Regenda, who graduated, said: "I thoroughly enjoyed the course and am delighted to have graduated. I am really grateful that Regenda have given me
this opportunity, I now look forward to putting what I have learnt into practice and contributing to Regendas growth in the forthcoming years."
Craig Garner, Head of Corporate Finance at Regenda, who graduated, said: "The graduation was a thoroughly enjoyable event, especially as my family were there to witness something which I am very
proud of.
"The course, although hard work, was made considerably easier through the support we all gave each other and the projects we were able to work through as part of the course.
"As I'm sure everyone who has studied appreciates, studying something which is relevant to work is much easier to understand and apply this was certainly the case. Thanks also need to go to ET,
particularly Tracey and Catherine, for their support and encouragement during the 18 month course without this I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did."
