An £8million contract is set to deliver massive improvements to Acis Group homes in West Lindsey over the next four years.
Frank Haslam Milan (FHM) is getting ready to deliver the ongoing improvements to around 3,700 homes in West Lindsey after winning the contract from local housing provider, Acis Group.
The work will include improvements to kitchens and bathrooms, central heating installation, new doors and roofing repairs. There will also be funding available to fit aids and adaptations to help older and disabled tenants live freely in their own homes.
The refurbishments are part of a multi million pound improvement programme by Acis, designed to boost tenants quality of life by improving homes beyond the Governments basic Decent Homes Standard. FHM will begin work in earnest in the next few weeks.
Martin Smithurst, Managing Director of FHM in Yorkshire and the East Midlands, said: We are absolutely delighted to have won this contract and we are really looking forward to starting work. This is a major contract and is great news for us and the tenants of West Lindsey as it means they will benefit from better homes and massive investment in their communities.
We are also committed to working with local suppliers, so todays announcement is a huge boost for the whole community. We cant wait to make a start working with Acis Group and other partners to
improve the housing and quality of life in the area.
FHM, a Keepmoat company, is also currently working on a programme of refurbishment work on behalf of Acis Group in Sheffield to bring its properties up to the Governments Decent Homes Standard.
Valerie Waby, Chief Executive of Acis Group, said: We look forward to working with FHM, not only to deliver our promise to improve tenants homes, but also to ensure our tenants share in the
benefits of this investment. This great news supports our commitment to whole neighbourhoods and communities feeling the regeneration benefits of our investment in tenants homes.
