Man who cooked breakfast on empty train sent back to prison
A 36-year-old man who stunned railway staff by cooking breakfast in an out of service train has been sent back to prison following a separate incident.
Mark Armstrong, of no fixed abode, was given a six month custodial sentence at Preston County Court after breaching his Anti-social Behaviour Injunction Order.
The Injunction, which was awarded to New Progress Housing Association in December 2007, prevents Armstrong from entering the Broadfield area of Leyland.
Armstrong entered the exclusion zone and was later arrested.
Armstrong, who has a history of alcohol-fuelled anti-social behaviour, has already served seven months imprisonment following a similar breach in December 2007.
District Judge Turner said: “The court is mindful of protection of the public when he (the Defendant) is drunk and not in control of his actions.”
Bernie Keenan, Managing Director at New Progress Housing Association, said: “This will reassure local residents that not only are we working hard with our partners to secure legal action
against the perpetrators of anti-social behaviour, we will also enforce any breaches of that legal action.”
Last month Armstrong was found by staff at Preston Railway station stealing from the unattended train whilst under the influence of excessive alcohol.
