Leading RSLs The Guinness Partnership, Genesis Homes, Affinity Sutton, Midsummer Housing, Downland, Broomleigh, William Sutton Homes and Southern Housing have joined together with online specialist Scout Solutions to create a ‘Rightmove’ style marketing service for shared ownership properties across the UK – www.PathtoProperty.co.uk

PathtoProperty is led by RSLs to realise their agenda of a better, professional and more cost effective solution to the nationwide marketing of affordable housing.

PathtoProperty is the brainchild of the team behind the ever successful HomeSwapper service that helps over 700 families swap home every month, and has over 400 landlords with in excess of 1.5 million properties partnering the service.

With an anticipated launch date of autumn 2008, PathtoProperty partners are inviting all RSLs involved in Shared Ownership to find out more and partner with PathtoProperty.

Julian Knapp, from Guinness Partnership, said: “Millions of pounds are spent annually by RSLs with the likes of Rightmove and SmartNewHomes whose prices increase in leaps and bounds.

“So we’re doing what estate agents did years ago when they worked together to set up the likes of Rightmove and Primelocation; the difference this time is that PathtoProperty will run to an RSL agenda.”

Sharon Cummings, from Genesis Homes, said: “We want all RSLs involved in shared ownership to partner with PathtoProperty. As more RSLs partner with the service, greater critical mass is generated, and that will drive a successful service with an RSL agenda for national online marketing.”

Dale Meredith at Affinity Housing added: “By setting up a landlord driven property marketing service we are not only reducing online costs and increasing effectiveness but are ensuring that marketing is specifically targeted and costs are transparent.”

PathtoProperty will not only give RSLs the opportunity of marketing their properties on a uniquely developed website but it also includes a professional lead management service enabling landlords to manage potential customers more easily.

What’s more, the service will also work with RSLs to market resale properties, something landlords currently struggle with through mainstream online property websites.

Yvette Ruggins at the Affinity Sutton concluded: “PathtoProperty really does have multiple benefits; reduced advertising costs, the ability to uniquely promote re-sales, plus improve shared ownership marketing to reach a wider group of potential customers – it is an exciting project to be involved in and I certainly believe it will make a huge impact to marketing shared ownership properties.”

PathtoProperty is inviting landlords to partner with the service, just one of the benefits being a discount in advertising fee. For more information on the service and partnership opportunities still available please contact Kevin Gilhooly on 01905 361500 or visit www.PathtoProperty.co.uk
