A YOUTH club in Wrangle celebrating its 60th anniversary this year has bought a new picnic bench with some of the money given to it by the Boston Mayflower Housing Association.
Wrangle Youth Club was awarded £500 by Mayflower under the social landlord's Community Champions award scheme.
The scheme rewards groups and organisations which perform outstanding work in the local community.
Howard Watson, chairman of the youth club, said: "This unique youth club is currently witnessing its third generation of members.
"Over the years hundreds of youngsters from as far away as Wainfleet have enjoyed trips out, competitions and discos.
"Many people have even met their future partners at the club!"
The Wrangle Youth Club provides facilities such as a children's play area and sporting activities for youngsters.
Its youth sessions, for people aged 11 to 25, run on Fridays from 7.30pm to 10pm.
For more information about the youth club call Barbara Bonsor on 01205 270392.
