More from Regenda Housing Group

A local family has discovered the benefits of buying off-plan at Regendahomes’ popular Warmingham Grange development thanks to their shared equity scheme.

Julie McFarlane who lives with her husband and 7 year old daughter recently moved in to a 3 bedroom mews family home in the stunningly converted Warmingham Grange estate in Sandbach.

Julie, purchased her new home from The Regenda Group, one of the north west’s leading housing association’s, through their shared equity scheme making her dream home and location affordable. Julie purchased 30% shared equity on her 3 bedroom mews in Warmingham Grange and pays monthly rent on the remaining 70% until she is in a position to staircase up and purchase more shares in her home.

Julie has lived in Crewe for the past 8 years as she has previously not been able to afford to move back into the village.  Last year Julie watched the homes being built and never thought she could afford to buy one saying, “The Regendahomes shared equity scheme has made it possible for me to move back to my home village.

"I have been looking for an opportunity to purchase in the village but this has not previously been possible due to the rise in the housing market.

"I never thought I would have been able to afford to move back to this fantastic location and be closer to my family and friends, plus my daughter goes to the local school.

"The house is a good size in a fantastic location and the quality of build is excellent.  It is also fantastic to know that should I have any problems Templar Housing Association is there for me.”

Warmingham Grange is located in probably one of the finest locations in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Forming part of the Warmingham Grange Estate (Grade II listed), the scheme has been designed to reflect the true character of the area.

The property benefits from gas central heating, fitted kitchen and off road parking. The properties are purchased on a shared equity scheme with buyers able to purchase at 30% of the full value. There is a monthly rent and service charge payable.

Carole A Rose, Sales Manager for Regendahomes, said: “We are delighted that Julie and her family have been able to choose a brand new home in this stunning location.  This spacious family home was available through our shared equity scheme, which is aimed at giving more people the chance to get onto the housing ladder in the area when prices are high and prohibitive.

"It means any interested buyer would only need to secure a mortgage on at least 30% of the total value of the property and then would pay monthly rent to the Regenda Group on the remaining share.“

Applying for Regenda shared equity and shared ownership couldn’t be easier.
