London based housing association Gallions Housing Association has received top marks from Government agency the Housing Corporation, following an assessment completed last month. The Housing Corporation is the Governments funder and regulator of housing associations in England.

Every housing association owning or managing more than 250 homes has its performance assessed by the Housing Corporation against four key criteria; Governance, Management, Financial Viability and Development. A traffic light rating of Red, Amber or Green is given against each area, with Green as the top rating. Four Green lights demonstrate that the association has met or exceeded the required standard across all the categories which are assessed.

Rona Nicholson, Director of the London Office for the Housing Corporation, said:
We are very pleased to announce that Gallions Housing Association has gained all four green lights in its latest Housing Corporation assessment. This demonstrates that they have successfully met or exceeded the standards set across all four key performance areas needed to ensure the quality of the services they offer to the people of London".

Gallions Housing Association, Chief Executive, Tony Cotter, said:
The Housing Corporations regulation is robust and we are delighted to have received this excellent assessment, which demonstrates our capacity to build and manage affordable housing in London.
