First-time buyers keen to find an affordable new home piled on board the East Homes Show Home Cruise recently as it took them around nine key developments across east London and Essex.

The cruise comprised four fare-free buses laid on by East Homes, and aimed to help first time buyers take their first step on the road to affordable home ownership.

Picking up more than 150 hopeful passengers at several points on the route, the buses toured developments with properties starting as low as £42,499 for a 25 per cent share.

They also had the opportunity to get professional advice from Independent financial advisers and solicitors at the East Thames head office in Stratford – all free of charge!

Jannie de Vos and his wife Heather took their baby William on the bus. Jannie said: "The Show Home Cruise was good because you didn't have the hassle of traffic, parking or directions. You also got to see more properties in one day.

"The teams were very friendly and helpful. All the people we've met have been great."

Priti Chohan, marketing manager at East Homes, said: "We were really pleased to be able to show so many people our homes on Saturday. The Show Home Cruise  included nine of our developments across east London, including homes offering canalside views in Stepney and apartments with a residents' gym on the edge of the Olympic Park.

"It enabled us to show people a wide range of quality, affordable homes, while offering information on different buying options. Anyone can find out more about our homes by calling 0845 6000830 or dropping into our head office on West Ham Lane, Stratford."
