TODAY IN HOUSING

Paul McCay joins the Papworth Trust as the Director of Operations (Housing and the Built Environment and Personal Support). Pauls role at the Trust will encompass increasing the availability of new accessible homes in the region in order to enable people to live independently and to encourage developers and partners to adopt our high access standards by sharing in our knowledge and expertise.

Paul was previously the Director of Operations for St. Martin of Tours Housing Association. Before joining St. Martin of Tours Housing Association Paul was the Supported Housing Manager at Cambridge City Council and he has also worked for the London Borough of Sutton and English Churches Housing Group.

Paul is a qualified social worker and has an MBA from Cranfield University along with other qualifications in social science and social policy. He is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Adrian Bagg, Chief Executive, Papworth Trust said: "We're delighted that Paul has joined us; these are exciting times for Trust having recently won the Housing Corporation Gold Award for Building Cohesive Communities. With Paul on board we plan to develop further new innovative schemes and to continue to champion the need for greater provision of wheelchair accessible homes.
