On Saturday 19 July residents of Welwyn Hatfield, Hertfordshire enjoyed a day of sunshine at the Kaleidoscope Festival in Stanborough Park, Welwyn Garden City. Attendees tried food from around the world, including Indian, Jamaican and Chinese cuisine. They were also treated to music from local bands.
The information tent was busy all day with families and local people finding out about services in their area including fostering, health care and local support groups. It was also home to Moat whos staff were present to offer advice and information to local residents about affordable housing available in the Welwyn Hatfield area.
Moat and other local service providers spent the day promoting the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, Preferred Partners Group, Housing Partnership. The partnership was also responsible for sponsorship of the drum workshop which allowed attendees to try their hand at drumming with talented instructors.
Claire Lomax, Moats community development officer says: I love coming to the Kaleidoscope Festival. Its a great chance to find out about the local area and to connect with our residents in their own community.
