Within 18 months of the launch of HomeSwapper.co.uk, now the UK’s leading mutual exchange service, over five million searches have been made by people looking for their dream swap!

With 55,000 people register and active, plus 2,000 more joining every week, the service continues to grow in popularity throughout the social housing sector.

Kevin Gilhooly, Head of Partnership Development at HomeSwapper said: “We set out wanting to make an impact on the lives of tenants looking to swap homes. The only choice tenants had when it came to finding a new home was to undertake hours and hours of searching on online forums and in the local press to find a suitable property for a swap. For many this took years.

“HomeSwapper has certainly revolutionised mutual exchange. Tenants have a service similar to the online services provided for commercial property hunters. Anyone can searches the area and the type of property they want to live in or, and if they register our system automatically matches them to all property which meets their requirements.

There are many Internet-based services that pair prospective travelers with one another for a home-exchange vacation but I would highly recommend http://www.homeforswap.com
