Mercian Housing Association has made the move from Erdington to brand new offices in Aston. All Mercian Housing employees moved into Gee Business Centre on 15th July, bringing colleagues from the Erdington, Walsall and Aston offices together with subsidiary companies ART Homes Ltd and Zenith under one roof for the first time.
Laurice Ponting, Chief Executive at Mercian Housing said of the move, After many years at The Gardens in Erdington, we felt it was time for a change. As part of our staff programme Us Together, we have actively involved all employees in the process, and we are certain that the move will enhance communication and the service we provide to our customers. As well as this, the new office is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly than our previous premises, with waste reduction and recycling being high on the agenda.
The move brings all services closer together in one central location and will be home to Mercians newly restructured Customer Services call centre; their job is to listen to customers and help Mercian continue to deliver excellent services and meet the needs of all residents.
Mercian provides affordable housing in the West Midlands, with over 3,300, high quality, mixed-tenure homes and opportunities for home ownership, developed to create choices for people whose options in the housing market are limited. As the Government appointed HomeBuy agent in the West Midlands, the HomeBuy Agency team has also made the move to the new office.
A few minutes from Junction 6 of the M6, Mercian Housing is easily accessible to visitors. If you would like more details of Mercians new location, please visit www.mercian.org.uk.
