VISITORS to this year's Boston Community Showcase will get the chance to encounter various types of animal up close as well as witness medieval characters, sumo wrestlers and other attractions!
The event takes place in Boston's Central Park on Sunday, September 14 - and is on course to be the biggest and best yet.
Features will include a petting zoo, bouncy castle, live music, dog agility sessions, circus skills, a food court, and arts and crafts.
The event is held each year to enable the Boston community to come together and have fun while finding out about volunteering opportunities and services on offer from local groups.
One of the organisers of the event, Boston Mayflower's Community Development Officer Paul Kenny, said: "I'm really excited about the new attractions we will have at 2008's Boston Community Showcase.
"We believe that with every passing year we are building on the success of the event.
"This time we will have a petting zoo, medieval re-enactments and an exciting line up of musical talent.
"So don't just sit at home on September 14 - come out and join us! There will be something for all the family to enjoy."
More than 100 organisations from the local area are involved in this year's event. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome.
