Oldham's Limehurst residents all helped Limehurst Village Trust to celebrate its tenth anniversary as the major local landlord in the area, by attending a 10 years of LVT celebration event at the Holy Family school in Limehurst recently.
The event was held to mark the transfer of the Limehurst properties in 1998 from the local authority to the newly created Trust and to celebrate the achievements the Trust, now part of the Regenda Group, has made to improve residents properties, community facilities and buildings as well as the general neighbourhood and residents living environment. There was a display to highlight these achievements.
The celebrations included a penalty shoot out competition organised by Oldham Athletic Football Club as well as DJ workshops.
Other entertainment included a fun fair, face painting, childrens craft activities, fire engine along with stalls and displays from the local fire & police service as well as local organisations Groundwork, LTARA and Hollinwood Voluntary Forum.
LVT Neighbourhood Officer, Verity Mason who organised the event said We wanted all our residents to share our 10th birthday celebrations. It was a really enjoyable day, with lots of interesting and
fun things to do for all the family. There was something for everyone.
