We are pleased to announce that the Institute of Customer Service is sponsoring the Customer Service category in the prestigious Guardian Public Service Awards 2008.

The awards aim to highlight improvement, innovation and effective change throughout the countrys public services and will recognise outstanding performance by teams from public, private and voluntary sectors.

We are delighted to support and sponsor these awards which have proved a potent means of sharing and spreading best practice to raise the quality of services for more people in more places across the UK, says ICS chief executive David Parsons.

The Customer Service Award is an important way to put the spotlight on organisations that can genuinely claim to have pushed the boundaries of public service delivery over the past 12 months.

The closing date for entries is 18 July with the awards ceremony taking place on 25 November in London.

All public service organisations are encouraged to enter one or more of the award categories.
