L&Q named one of Europe's best places to work
L&Q Housing Trust has been named in the Financial Times' ’50 Best Large Workplaces in Europe’.
The trust was one of eight UK companies included in the list and the only housing association to be featured.
L&Q joins companies such as Google, American Express and McDonald’s in the elite list.
L&Q was also awarded a place in the Financial Times top 50 UK companies for the fourth year running. Further good news came when L&Q was short listed as one of the UK’s top companies
in the categories for ‘Best for Training and Development’ and ‘Best for Community Contribution’.
With over 1,250 companies taking part from across Europe this is a fantastic achievement for L&Q.
Tom Nicholls, Group Director of Human Resources at L&Q, said: “We are delighted to be placed for the first time in the 50 Best Large Workplaces in Europe. We are one of only eight UK
companies in the list finding ourselves in the company of some serious household names such as Google, Cisco, and Coca Cola.
"We are the only housing association in the list, in fact the only not for profit organisation. Our fantastic staff put us in the list, we recognise their hard work, loyalty and commitment they
deserve a big thank you, our success is entirely down to our people.”
David Montague, L&Q Chief Executive, said: “Here at L&Q we are committed to creating places where people want to live and places where people want to work.
"The two aims are intrinsically linked; at L&Q staff are integral to what we do, they are extremely valued and feel passionate about their jobs and it is through this that we are able to
provide high quality homes and services to our residents.
"By investing in our people we are investing in our future and it is great to see that reflected by our place in the Financial Times report.”
