Anchor Trust’s annual report 2006/07 has won a national communications award in recognition of its excellence.
A host of industry experts judged the report alongside entries from the likes of Unilever plc and the Foreign Office, and selected it for an Award of Excellence in the category for best
annual review.
In their citation, the judges praised the report for representing Anchor as: “An organisation that is committed to providing services that clients need, and one that recognises that this is a
changing market.
“Successful organisations need to adapt their services to meet expectations and Anchor shows that it can do this.”
The accolade is an achievement for Anchor’s Corporate Communications Team: it is the first time that they have entered their annual report for an award.
The judges continued: “Using individuals and their quotes brings home the individuality of the services on offer. Doing the same with staff provides a good balance to the stories and gives a
positive impression of the organisation as an employer.
“The dedication of the team comes through here and the sense of celebration of success.”
Anchor’s Head of Corporate Communications, Mario Ambrosi, said: “This is a fantastic achievement when you consider that Anchor had never before put its annual report forward for an
award.
“The report was a real joint effort from the communications team working with colleagues across Anchor.
“I’m really pleased that all the hard work was recognised by the judges.”
