Travis Perkins is celebrating after being named Supplier of the Year at the Housing Excellence Awards.

Representatives from Travis Perkins Managed Services division were presented with their award at the 5th Annual Awards Ceremony in Cheshire.

Travis Perkins Managed Services saw off competition from three other finalists, Buildbase, JTC Kitchens and Moores Furniture, to be declared the winner.

The team was recognised for its work with social housing providers and their contractors, delivering solutions for the management and storage of materials required for repair and maintenance services.

This has resulted in significant improvements in efficiency, and the delivery of added value solutions for the repair and maintenance services.

Damion Rothner, Travis Perkins Managed Services Sales Manager, said: “We are very proud to have achieved this award. We have been involved with the social housing sector for a number of years, and work closely with our customers in order to continually improve our service offering for the sector.

"We feel that our commitment is reflected by this award and the recognition is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team.”

So far, Travis Perkins has provided a variety of tailored solutions for Councils, (e.g. Mid Suffolk District Council), local authorities (Bristol Contract Services), housing associations and transfers (Wolverhampton Homes, Wrekin Housing Trust, Community Housing Group) and many others.

The Housing Excellence Awards have been held annually since 2003. Each year, Northern, Midlands & Southern Housing magazines invite entries for a total of 10 categories, including Best New Affordable Housing Scheme, Best Sub Contractor and Best Regeneration Scheme.

The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts, and this year included representatives from the Chartered Institute of Building and Chartered Institute of Housing.
