Sarsen residents to pick n' mix their rent payments at Woolworths
Sarsen Housing Association residents can pick and mix where they pay their rent thanks to Woolworths and payment collection company allpay.net.
Rent payments are accepted over-the-counter at any Woolies branch, using an allpay.net swipe card with cash or a debit card. There are 820 stores nationwide, giving residents even more places to
pay.
The allpay.net swipe card can also be used at Post Office branches and shops displaying PayPoint and Payzone signs.
Sarsen resident David Galbraith said: “Paying rent has never been easier. I can just pop into Woolworths when I‘m out shopping on the high street. What a good idea!”
Sarsen, a member of the Aster Group, has some of the lowest rent arrears in the country. Antony Higgins, Sarsen’s head of neighbourhood housing services, said: “Our rent arrears are just 2.4%, lower than many other housing associations. Giving customers plenty of choice about where they can pay their rent helps but it’s also about providing support, if they’re struggling financially. We have a debts and benefits specialist to help residents with money matters and all our housing staff are trained to give benefits advice.
