German renewable energy giant Stiebel Eltron has opened its new UK base at Wirral International Business Park, Bromborough.

The family owned company is an international leader for quality when it comes to heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and systems technology.

The company was founded in 1924 and is run by Frank Stiebel and Dr Ulrich Stiebel – the sons of the company’s founder.

Dr Ulrich Stiebel attended today's official launch party at the company’s new base at Stadium Court, Bromborough along with Wirral’s new Mayor, Councillor Adrian Jones and other dignitaries.

With innovative products and a team that is helping to put the company on the international track, Stiebel Eltron is gaining more and more in importance on a global scale.  The new office in Bromborough will be headed up by Mark McManus.

Mark McManus, Managing Director at Stiebel Eltron UK said: “As a Wirral lad I am thrilled to be managing Stiebel Eltron’s UK base in Bromborough.

"We chose Wirral because we have a large customer base in Ireland and the excellent transport links mean we can get to our customers fast and efficiently.

"We also have ambitious growth plans and the skilled and flexible workforce combined with the potential to expand our premises will enable us to fulfill our ambitions.  Wirral really was the best fit for our business.”

The council’s inward investment and business support team worked closely with Mark and his team to find the best location to meet their needs.

Kevin Adderley, Head of Strategic Development for Wirral Council said: “Wirral International Business Park is a key strategic investment site for the northwest and this status can only be enhanced by the addition of Stiebel Eltron – a global company with a turnover of 400 million Euros with almost 3,000 employees.

"These are the type of companies we want in Wirral as we continue to Think Big.”
