Lorraine Kelly to present National Housing Federation's Neighbourhood Awards
The National Housing Federation has announced today that popular TV presenter Lorraine Kelly will host this year’s Neighbourhood Awards – and that the closing date for entries has been
extended by four days.
Ms Kelly, who is best known for her programme LK Today on GMTV, will present trophies to the winners of each of the ten categories, and the overall competition winner.
The annual awards ceremony, staged to recognise the excellent community work done by housing associations, will be held on Thursday 18 September at the Federation’s annual conference, at the
ICC, in Birmingham.
To ensure that as many housing associations are able to enter the awards as possible, the Federation has also announced that it is extending the closing date for entries until 5pm on Friday May
23.
Eleven awards are up for grabs this year, in ten categories ranging from Greener Neighbourhoods to Best Neighbourhood Design, with a prize also going to the overall winner.
Housing associations can submit their entries via the Neighbourhood Awards website at www.neighbourhoodawards.org.uk.
Federation chief executive David Orr said: “We always have a top-name host to ensure the ceremony has a touch of glitz and glamour, and we are proud that this year we will be joined by
Lorraine Kelly.
“Lorraine is one of our best known and most popular presenters, and I’m sure she’ll make the event a night to remember.”
