Town & Country Housing Group started almost 700 homes in the last financial year - its best result ever.

Construction work began on 699 homes, nearly double the original target set by the Housing Corporation.

The group now has more than 1,000 new homes currently under construction. The success is due to determination, commitment and hard work over many years by all those involved.

This achievement also supports the group’s objectives of building quality homes, working with communities and improving services and choice to our customers.

During 2007/08 the group increased its land bank with sites capable of delivering in excess of 120 new homes. This will support future programme delivery.

Development Director Geraldine Harrington said: “This is a great achievement for the team and for Town & Country Housing Group as a whole.

"We would like to thank the Housing Corporation, our local authority partners and the developers and consultants who have worked with us and helped us to achieve this fantastic result.”

Town & Country Housing Group currently provides more than 7,000 homes in Kent, Sussex, Surrey and South London. These properties include social rented, shared ownership, key worker, market rent and student accommodation.
