IBS OPENSystems, a leading provider of software and services to housing organisations and Local Authorities, has signed a contract with CBH, to streamline maintenance repairs and reporting, further enhancing service to tenants and realising cost efficiencies.

IBS will provide CBH with its OPENContractor solution to maximise efficiency gains across the company in the areas of job costing and orders, timesheets, purchasing, accounting and to track maintenance requests. The solution will go live in October 2008 for 17 users.

CBH is a not for profit Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) responsible for the management and maintenance of 4,500 council properties owned by Cheltenham Borough Council. Having been awarded three stars for excellent services and prospects for improvement, CBH has decided to implement IBS OPENContractor to bring further efficiencies to its housing maintenance service.

Bob Dagger, Assistant Chief Executive for CBH comments: “In the last few years we have made considerable progress to ensure that council tenants in the Cheltenham area have access to high quality homes and excellent management and maintenance services.

“IBS OPENSystems offers the best solution to take our business processes to the next level, offering an application that is functionally rich, easily integrated, cost effective and user friendly. It will allow us to streamline our processes even further so we can offer residents a highly efficient service.”

Bill Loughrey, Managing Director, IBS OPENSystems comments:
“We enjoyed a successful relationship with Cheltenham Borough Council in the past with their use of ContractorPlus, and this has now continued with CBH. Their adoption of OPENContractor shows their commitment to IBS, and we in turn will give our full commitment to help them streamline their business processes.”
