Hi, I'm Karen Wormwell and I want to welcome you to the online radio show for People Managers in the Public Sector. Every month, you can hear interviews with top HR professionals and industry experts, who share their insights on some of the biggest challenges facing HR teams today.

Negative publicity about working practices in the public sector has become common but this month we help to re-dress the balance. First I talk to Jo Hennessy, Director of Research at Roffey Park Institute about their latest Management Agenda survey findings. Jo tells us how public sector managers really view working in the public sector.

I also ask Jan Parkinson from the Local Government Employers and Sian Thomas from NHS Employers for their views on the findings and to share some of their experiences with us.
