Christian Bodmer has been appointed as sales and marketing officer within Moat’s New Build HomeBuy team. He started on 10 March 2008 is based at Moat’s central office in Dartford.

Moat builds brand new houses and apartments on a part buy / part rent basis through New Build HomeBuy (previously called shared ownership). Applicants usually purchase 50% shares in these homes; though shares between 25% and 75% may be available. A subsidised rent is payable on the remaining share.

New Build HomeBuy enables people to get a foot on the property ladder and at a later stage they can purchase more shares in the property until they own the property outright. At which point no rent will be payable on the remaining share.

In his new role, Christian will be responsible for promoting Moat’s new build developments across Kent and Sussex and will assist first-time buyers and key workers in housing need to access affordable home ownership initiatives.

Christian previously worked as a business development manager for Platform Home Loans and brings with him a wealth of experience.

 Christian says; “Moat have some excellent properties available and I’m looking forward to helping first time buyers take their first step onto the housing ladder.”
