Axiom Housing Association has recently signed up to the Government’s Respect Agenda for Housing Management.
Axiom, by adopting the Government-led voluntary standard, has shown publically that it is committed to delivering good services to help ‘stamp out’ anti social behaviour (ASB) and
thereby create a culture of respect.
The Respect agenda is built around six core commitments which together will help to promote respect for others and tackle causes of anti-social behaviour.
It includes:
• Accountability, leadership and commitment;
• Empowering and reassuring residents;
• Prevention and early intervention;
• Tailored services for residents with support for victims and witnesses;
• Protecting communities through swift enforcement;
• Support to tackle the causes of anti-social behaviour.
Shirley Jones, Axiom Area Housing Manager, said: "By signing up to the respect standard it clearly demonstrates our firm commitment to tackle anti-social behaviour; by working with our residents,
the police and partners we are keen to widen a culture of respect within our communities.”
Karen Chambers, Tenant Involvement Manager, added: "We would like to reassure our residents that there will be no let up in our drive to tackle bad behaviour in our communities.”
“We will be working across the whole business, as well as with the Axiom Residents Forum, to develop plans to ensure that the actions we wish to develop meet the needs of our communities; we
are very keen to help give people a decent and safe place to live.”
“By signing up to this standard, it will help us all to focus and achieve this."
