Hundreds of Uttoxeter residents picked up advice at a diabetes-themed healthy eating event held by South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT).

The PCTs Diabetes Specialist Nurse Team were in Uttoxeter Market on Wednesday to promote ‘DESMOND’ (Diabetes Education and Self Management for ongoing and Newly Diagnosed).

Tracey Roe, Diabetes Specialist Nurse, South Staffordshire PCT said: “The information day was extremely well attended and there were plenty of people that came to speak with the team for advice on diabetes.

“This informal way of communicating with people is very well received and a lot of information leaflets were given out. We really wanted to increase awareness of the education session and feel that this was achieved.”
