The housing team at Blackfriars Advice Centre is calling on local people to get help and support as soon as possible if they face homelessness, have had an eviction order or face a possession order for their homes.
Katharine Sutton, interim Chief Executive of Blackfriars Advice Centre, said today: “People often delay getting advice when they face legal proceedings that can result in homelessness and the loss of their home. It is essential that, no matter how long they feel they may have let things drift, they get in touch with a centre that can help. Our housing team has a ninety per cent success rate in challenging eviction and we know we can do more to support people through these difficult times.”
Individuals that need help can come to an open door session held at Blackfriars Advice Centre, 1 Addington Square, London SE5 0HF on Monday – Thursday 10am - 12 noon or phone 020 7358 7035 for advice.
