Jobs awaiting UK's new energy assessors
SAVA, the largest training and assessment centre for Home Inspectors and domestic Energy Assessors, has welcomed AHIPP’s analysis that there will be enough people qualified by June 1 to deliver energy performance certificates, and estimates that it will have about 250,000 jobs to allocate to these people in the first year.
Brian Scannell, Managing Director of SAVA, said: “Our own analysis supports the figures published by AHIPP. SAVA alone has more than 2,000 candidates in its assessment centre. We have always been confident that the numbers of Home Inspectors and Energy Assessors qualifying across the industry would be able to meet market demand.”
Those people who have completed their qualification can apply to join the SAVA Business Exchange.
The Business Exchange, a joint venture with Home Information Pack provider Simply HIP, will allocate work to its independent network of Home Inspectors and Energy Assessors.
Tony Rinaldi, Operations Manager for the SAVA Business Exchange, said: “Many independent Home Inspectors and Energy Assessors have not even begun to figure out how they will manage their workload from June 1, including how they will set up and schedule appointments, manage billing or handle follow-up enquiries from agents and vendors.
"For these people, the SAVA Business Exchange is the perfect solution – a steady flow of instructions and all the software and business support services they could ever need under one roof. We expect to have around a quarter of a million jobs to allocate in the first year. In fact, the opportunities for qualified Home Inspectors and Energy Assessors to earn money have already begun.”
