Capita’s 6th National Children Missing Education Conference provides practical advice and guidance on how to reduce the number of children missing education.
With the forthcoming DCSF consultation on the Revised Statutory Guidance to identify children not receiving a suitable education, it is vital that practitioners in all services come together to identify and re-engage these children back into appropriate education provision as quickly as possible.
Through a variety of case studies and interactive sessions this timely conference provides best practice on:
- Developing effective monitoring and tracking methods
- Engaging vulnerable groups into mainstream education
- Protecting children at risk
- Working in partnership to meet and support the educational needs of traveller children
- Utilising ContactPoint to improve information sharing
Take the opportunity to hear from expert speakers, reflect with
colleagues on experiences and take away strategic advice on
tackling the number of children missing education in your
area.

I'm wondering why "Understand how to execute the recommendations of the Badman Review on elective home education" is being touted as a benefit of attending? These recommendations are not yet (and probably, given time restraints, will never be) law! Therefore I fail to see what benefit can be attained?
