Capita’s 16-19 Learning and Skills Funding Transfer Seminar provides an interactive forum for delegates to receive the latest updates and practical guidance on the changes to the delivery of 16-19 provision.

With effect from April 2010 the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) will cease to exist and responsibility for the provision of 16-19 learning will pass to local authorities. Action must be taken now to ensure the new arrangements are in place to meet this deadline.

Managing the transfer of 16-19 commissioning will require detailed strategic planning and effective collaborative working to ensure councils meet the needs and demands of their learners. Extended practical sessions will enable you to review your own commissioning plans and establish a workable model going forward.

With restricted delegate numbers to enable effective peer networking and discussion, this seminar will provide the perfect forum to share best practice and identify strategies to ensure a smooth transition in your area.
