Call Parents system alerts parents about school snow closures Call Parents system alerts parents about school snow closures

More from Livewire Public Relations

Over half a million alerts have been sent to parents over the last few days as schools closed due to heavy snow. Using Call Parents, an automated notification system, schools alerted parents of the closures quickly using text messages and automated phone calls. Over 100,000 alerts were also sent in December to alert parents about school snow closures before the end of term.

Installed in over 1000 primary and secondary schools in the UK, Call Parents (www.callparents.com) is an automatic notification system which enables schools to send a message to parents via text message (SMS) or automated phone call. The system reads live pupil contact information direct from the school’s management system and can send specific messages to parents of a specific class, year or group. Messages can be sent to inform parents when report cards have gone home, when parents’ evenings are taking place, to warn them about school closures, cancellations or delays to events and returning from a school trip.

For more information on how Call Parents can benefit your school please call 0870 046 4246, email: sales@truancycall.com or visit the website: www.callparents.com.
