Leading learning platform provider Frog (www.frogtrade.com) is proud to announce that it has been short-listed for the ICT Company of the Year BETT Award - one of the most sought after awards in the education industry. Frog has been recognised for its ability to radically improve the engagement of pupils and the academic results of numerous schools across over 80 local authorities in the UK. Visitors to Stand M50 at the BETT Show 2010 (13-16 January) can talk to teachers and parents who will be showcasing how they are currently using Frog to engage the whole school community.

Frog gives schools exceptional creative control to develop their platform, enabling teachers, administrative staff and pupils to fully embed it into the school’s working practices and tailor it to their individual needs. The learning platform also encourages students to learn independently and develop a more mature and academic approach to their work. Using the remote user application, pupils can access the school network, software packages and learning resources from the comfort of their own homes. The company works with schools and local authorities to develop better ways of addressing educational needs and empowering students and staff to achieve excellence in education.

Frog runs a series of awareness days during the year which take place all over the country and are hosted and presented by the schools themselves – for details of these events please visit www.frogtrade.com/events.

Gareth Davies, Managing Director, Frog, comments: “We are delighted to be recognised for our exceptional service to schools through this prestigious accolade. A rapidly increasing number of schools are embracing our online learning environment to positively impact on teaching and learning.”

The winners will be announced at the London Hilton, Park Lane, on the evening of 13 January after the first day of the BETT show, the world’s largest educational technology event.
