Teachers and pupils of Neilston Primary school can look forward to a warm and cosy winter after Anglian Building Products installed brand new PVCu windows to their classrooms.

Undertaking the works earlier this year, 70ml casement windows were provided as the perfect replacement to the school’s existing aluminum windows.

Works were undertaken during school time and Anglian’s contracts manager David Lowing ensured that stringent safety procedures were followed to ensure pupils’ safety was maintained at all times whilst the installers were onsite.

As windows still account for a significant proportion of a building's heat loss, Anglian‘s windows will play a major role in improving the school's environmental performance.

To help encourage children’s love of reading, Neilston primary school pupils will also receive a boost to their school library following a donation by Anglian for brand new resources.

Anglian Building Products has a proven track record within the education sector and has helped refurbish numerous schools across Edinburgh, East Ayrshire and throughout the UK.

Head teacher Janie McCombe commented: ‘We are delighted with our new windows and have noticed already what a difference it has made to the school. We also thank Anglian for their kind donation towards new resources for our school library which our children will love!’

Paul Bichener, Operations Director for Anglian Building Products comments: ‘The windows supplied to Neilston Primary School were designed with the safety of pupils in mind as well as helping the council reduce its energy bills, which will create a much more sustainable learning environment for all.’
