23 October 2008 Capita Childrens Services has signed a distribution agreement to sell Vantages online Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and Performance Management (PM) tool, Paragon, to its
local authority, secondary, primary and independent school customers. Capitas SIMS management information system is used every day by more than 22,000 educational establishments in the UK.
Developed by CPD and PM specialists Vantage Technologies, Paragon will support the requirement for staff to continually meet professional standards, drive ongoing professional development, and manage in a robust and transparent way a schools performance management processes, bringing both CPD and PM together to help drive forward teaching and learning outcomes.
Paragon allows staff to record evidence against standards and targets in an easy-to-access e-portfolio, and to create action plans. With all CPD and PM information stored securely in a single location Reviewers are able to access and monitor the evidence to provide feedback on staff progress, making both staff development and performance management easier to monitor, manage and a continuous process.
