On Wednesday 17 March local residents, church wardens and Moat held a one off parent and toddler group at Nevendon Community Hall in the grounds of St Peter’s Church, Nevendon, Essex.

Residents identified a local need for a parent and toddler group and Moat helped to plan this one off gathering in order to see how popular it proves. Attendees were very pleased that the group has been formed and all those involved are now planning to make it a regular community service for the Nevendon neighbourhood.

Nicola Syder, Moat’s community development officer, says; “Moat are always keen to ensure that we’re providing the service our residents want and need. The local community doesn’t currently have an easily accessible parent and toddler group and in partnership with the Church and residents, we plan to change that.”

Jenny Bates, resident at The Parks in Basildon, says; “I’m really pleased that Moat and St Peter’s Church have set this group up. My daughter Freya has had a great time today and I sincerely hope that it is possible to make this a regular community service as we’d definitely come again!”

All local parents and toddlers are welcome and if you have any further questions about the group, please contact Nicola Syder on 0845 359 6549 or at nicola.syder@moat.co.uk.
