CITY West Housing Trust is looking for sporting youngsters across the borough to make a “grand” gesture to by donating £1,000 to four clubs across Salford.
The Trust is looking to make four donations of £1,000 to sports clubs in Eccles, Swinton, Irlam and Little Hulton in a bid to encourage Salford’s children and young people to keep fit and get involved in sporting activities.
Any sporting discipline can apply for the grants. So if your club or team needs a boost City West would love to hear from you. You may need new equipment, need to cover costs for venue hire or even need new costumes – whatever your request, let us know!
Sports clubs across the city are invited to submit a 100 word application stating the reasons why they feel they should receive the money.
Paul Carhart, Director of Communities at City West Housing Trust, said: “We want to give local clubs a sporting chance to recruit new members while building upon their current success. We would be delighted to make a difference to clubs right on our doorstep, which encourage young people to get active and get involved.”
