A man accused of murdering a 94-year-old found stabbed to death in his home was remanded in custody today, police said.
William Humphrey, known as Bill (pictured), suffered multiple stab wounds at his home in Brook Road, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, between 3.30pm and midnight last Tuesday, Hertfordshire Police said.
Property including a television was believed to have gone missing from his address.
Marcio Reis De Sa Barros, 30, from the same street, appeared at Hatfield Remand Court, Herts, today.
He has been charged with murder and nine counts of robbery.
Reis De Sa Barros will appear at St Albans Crown Court on Wednesday.
A woman arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed
until later this month.
