Visitors are invited to take part in an “Auction of Promises” with over 100 top prizes up for grabs.

The auction, which takes place on Saturday, November 21 at Tettenhall College in College Road, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, starts at 7.30pm in a bid to encourage businesses and individuals to raise vital funds for charity.

The event has been organised by Wolverhampton Homes in support of Lupus UK, a charity which supports people who have been diagnosed with an auto immune disease and The Good Shepherd, which offers aid to war-torn Sudan.

Coleshill-based community specialist Frank Haslam Milan West Midlands, which forms part of the Keepmoat group, has pledged its support by offering a TV towards the appeal.

Other prizes include a £300 voucher for car tyres or alloys and over 300 world famous boxing DVD’S from 1920 to the present day, featuring every championship fight and all of Mohammad Ali’s fights.

The auction is also offering an annual pass for two to the Uttoxeter races, golf day passes for numerous golf courses, gym membership at the Patshull Park Hotel and two tickets for ladies day at Ascot including transport and a champagne breakfast.

Val McIntosh, of Wolverhampton Homes, said: “We are hoping to raise a lot of money at the Auction of Promises towards our chosen charities and myself and my colleague Diane Welch are going to run the London marathon 2010 to raise even more funds.

“We are grateful for the support received from our clients including Frank Haslam Milan, and other local businesses such as Watson Glass, Travis Perkins and Bullock, and hope the public will come and join us on November 21st to offer their support.”

Entry costs £5 which includes a programme, cold buffet and a glass of wine.
