Southern Housing Group scooped the award for best development partnership at the Affordable Home Ownership Awards at the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel on Thursday 3 September.

Presenter, Sarah Beeny, gave the award to the Group’s Development Director, Dale Meredith, for the partnership with Berkeley Homes on a number of high profile regeneration projects such as, Base 18 and the Armouries, located in the Royal Arsenal Development, Woolwich, Tabard Square in Borough and the Kidbrooke Vision project.

The award reflects eight years of successful partnership working between Southern Housing Group and Berkeley Homes. These projects have revitalised areas and changed them from areas of low demand, to sought after homes for a mix of residents.

Dale said:

“Our long-standing relationship with Berkeley Homes has enabled us to deliver successful, integrated communities and we are looking forward to our future initiatives. We share our expertise and knowledge with one another, and are continuously refining and developing our approach to working together.”

Southern Housing Group has a long track record of working closely with private developers to deliver high quality affordable housing of the same standard as private sale properties. The Group is fully involved in design development, providing vital information about social housing requirements at an early stage.
