Tribal are delighted to announce the appointment of three new senior consultants and three key senior promotions for its housing and regeneration practice.
New appointments
Steven Richardson brings to Tribal 23 years of experience in the housing sector at senior and director level. His previous roles have included:
- Director of Resources for 2 medium sized RSLs, and
- Senior Manager with HACAS Chapman Hendy, responsible for the delivery of the business plans for Large Scale Voluntary Transfers in the north of England.
Steven also brings extensive experience of financial due diligence, mergers and strategic partner selection.
Allan Chan’s key role will be to deliver quality and tailor made services to clients in the housing sector in the areas of service improvement, diversity and growth, and to develop new business opportunities. He has over 17 years experience in the housing sector and his responsibilities have included:
- overseeing the management of a housing association as its Chief Executive,
- integrating a subsidiary into a group company,
- serving on housing associations’ board and has
- two years experience in a regulatory role at the Housing Corporation
He is also a qualified accountant and has applied his broad knowledge to the strategic development of housing providers and in the development of information technology solutions.
Glenn Smith’s role at Tribal will be to advise local authorities and RSLs on business planning, the options available for managing their dwellings, and on stock transfer. Glenn has 17 years experience of working in housing finance, in both the local government and RSL environments and has extensive management experience in both permanent and interim roles. His previous roles include:
- Head of Finance at Merlin Housing Society Ltd, where he set up the Society’s finance team, financial systems and processes,
- Head of Finance & IT at South Gloucestershire Council, where he managed the housing finance, rents, IT and service improvement functions.
Senior Promotions
Angela Lomax has been promoted to Director of Strategic Services and will lead the national Strategic Services team with responsibility for business development and quality assurance. She will manage projects and lead teams across the range of our services delivering excellence and performance improvement.
Judy Wayne has now become a Director, heading up Tribal’s consulting services in Wales. She will also work on the development of our international work in social housing.
Susan Kane has become a Director, working on co-ordination of Tribal’s business strategy and development with a particular focus on succession planning to ensure the long-term strength of the teams. Susan will also project manage and deliver client focused projects and is accountable for performance and budgetary outcomes.
