Today, Taylor Vinters played host to a packed launch of the Grand Challenge. This exciting new Apprentice Style Fundraising Contest, is being run by the Papworth Trust and is based on the renowned BBCs The Apprentice presented by global entrepreneur Alan Sugar.
Alan Sugar, who has been told about The Grand Challenge described it as Wonderful.
Participating teams are challenged to start with a maximum of £1,000 and develop their own fundraising initiatives to raise funds for the Trust. So far twenty six teams have sign up including Taylor Vinters and Marshalls Aerospace.
Christine Berry, managing partner at Taylor Vinters said, "We are delighted to be supporting this exciting and entrepreneurial fundraising event for Papworth. We have had tremendous interest and are running a competition for staff at Taylor Vinters to pitch their ideas for The Grand Challenge to a panel of Partners and will be backing what we feel is the best idea with the start-up kitty."
As well as raising money to support the work of the Papworth Trust, one of the UKs leading disability charities many teams are using it as a team building and training tool incorporating marketing, selling and entrepreneurial skills.
