Councillor Norman Costin, Leader of South Bedfordshire District Council says: "South Bedfordshire residents will continue to receive high quality services. We will all be working very hard behind the scenes with the other councils to ensure that the major changes involved in the move to unitary status will be as seamless as possible and will not affect our day-to-day services in anyway. It is business as usual. We were very pleased to receive the congratulations of our County colleagues once the decision was known and we look forward to working together making Central Bedfordshire a huge success. "
