Our Lady’s RC Primary School on Boycott Road, Hereford has been closed today and will remain closed until later this week, following a fire in the main school hall at the weekend.

The fire, which is currently being investigated by the police and fire service, began at 11.15am on Saturday morning (14th April).

Herefordshire Council officers have been inspecting the premises today.  As well as significant damage to the school hall, there is smoke damage to other parts of the building.

Council officers are continuing to survey the building and carry out necessary repairs so that the school can open its doors to pupils again as quickly as possible.
