Helena Housing official sponsors for third year running.

Helena Housing is the official sponsor of the Merseyside Youth Games for the third year running.

A comprehensive programme of events, competitions and sports recruitment activities are well underway designed to select and train young athletes from our Primary, Secondary and Special Schools to represent the Borough at this years Merseyside Youth Games to be held at Litherland Sports Park, Sefton on the 6th and 7th July.

Over 5,000 young sports athletes will take part in recruitment events in Athletics, Boccia, Football, Gymnastics, Netball, Hockey, Cricket, Rugby, Swimming and Basketball to secure a place in the St.Helens team of around 500 children.

Helena Housing  supports a variety of community sports programmes such as:

•        2007 Merseyside Youth Games Team
•        Summer Holiday Sports and Leisure Scheme
•        Various Community Events, Activities and Initiatives

Helena’s regeneration strategy is based around working with local people and partners to create safe thriving communities that people take a pride in, hence their commitment to supporting events that allow thousands of local children to take part in healthy, safe sporting activities.
