More from South Bedfordshire District Council

South Bedfordshire District Council has launched a search to find artists living and working in the area as part of a project to create the district’s first Arts Directory.

The council wants to know what arts activity is happening in the area to help them meet the needs of local artists and understand what demands and issues they face. Much of the information in the directory will also be available to the public through the council’s website.

Executive Member with responsibility for arts and culture, Councillor David McVicar said: “The information we gather will help promote the breadth and experience of our local artists.  We hope that both visual and performing artists will come forward and engage with local training and other opportunities offered by our Arts Development Officer.”

In order to gather the information for the directory, the council has produced a simple questionnaire for artists to fill in. For a copy of the form email or call the council’s Arts Development Officer, Emma-jane Jones at emma.jones@southbeds.gov.uk or on 01582 474166. Copies will also be available from the Town Councils offices in Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard and Houghton Regis.

For more information or to request a questionnaire, call Emma-jane on 01582 474166.
